Make Music Day started in France 44 years ago and crossed the Atlantic to the states in 2006. The day is now celebrated in more than 2,000 cities across dozens of countries. Song Circle Houston has participated since 2021. Make Music Day will replace our normal 3rd Sunday Song Circle!!! 1pm start at Kojak’s!

• Bohemeo’s Acoustic Music Open Mic on the first Wednesday of the month/ 708 Telephone Road.  Next event is 6/3, sign up 6:30 pm, and music starts as soon as possible.  https://bohemeos.com/
• The Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe in Galveston hosts a songwriter night on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. It is hosted on alternating months by Grifters & Shills or Brightwire. • Indies Coffee Bar & Speakeasy – Galveston (1813 61st St) – watch their FB page for their “songwriter’s night” open mic., which is usually the 3rd Monday of the month.
